I have just released Auto Animator after about a year of building and testing it on real client work, while juggling day to day projects.
It started from something pretty simple. I was sick of animating the same IN and OUT transitions on every project. Nudging keyframes, fixing timing, repeating the same actions. So I built a tool to handle that part for me.
This is not about replacing the fun side of motion design. It just takes care of the repetitive bits so you can focus on the stuff that actually matters.
The main thing I am proud of is the two modes. Expression Mode and Keyframe Mode. Expression Mode is fast and non destructive, great for working quickly. Keyframe Mode bakes everything into keyframes, like you would animate it yourself.
Getting those two to match perfectly was honestly one of the hardest parts. I spent way too long figuring out the easing so switching between them does not break the timing. Expressions in After Effects work differently under the hood, but I managed to get them to match.
There is also a preset system, so once you have got something you like, you do not have to rebuild it every time.
Select your layers, pick a direction, and it just works.
I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think.
